Nvidia Geforce GT 525m vs ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 - Benchmarks Videos

Hi there friends. It’s a fine evening here and time to write another article based on comparison of graphics cards with videos from other users on YouTube! :)

I love those guys because since I can’t get my hands on those cards every time Nvidia or AMD puts them out in the market, I at least get to see the performance and tell you about it.

Then, how is this article going to be different from what is already present on the internet? Well, for one thing, I summarize everything so you don’t have to search over and over again, and as far as videos are concerned, I guess that you just want to see the performance, don’t you?

Does it really matter if the videos aren’t mine? Well, probably! But I tend to make my original videos, but it sucks when you can’t get your hands on a gadget you are going to write about and your only hope is your friends.

So, without wasting your time any further, dig in the performance review between the current graphics card in Dell Inspiron series and old graphics card.

• Let me summarize the article in one line for folks who want it quick and simple.

• Based on what my friends told me when they worked on latest Dell Inspiron 15r N5110, Nvidia GT 525m provides twice the performance than Radeon HD 5470 as expected.

• So, there you have it. The conclusion is done. Now read on to find out, why?

• So, do you like what you see?
• What you are looking at is the head to head spec sheet taken directly from Notebookcheck.net website for folks who don’t believe on written specs.
• I could just as easily take the snapshot from their manufacturers but this information is to the point, concise and pretty much what we need.
• If you look closely, then you will figure out yourself as to why Geforce GT 525m has the punch in comparison to HD 5470.
• One reason being the latest of them and other being more expensive than the later. However, the difference between price is compensated by the time it took to arrive in the market and that is why, your whole cost on Dell Inspiron 15r is still intact and that is infuriating for people like me who bought Dell Inspiron 15r a year ago with HD 5470 1GB in it.

Gaming Performance

• The gaming performance of GT 525m is also twice than that of HD 5470 and I can vouch for that. Though, I could not see the performance in action myself, we shared Fraps data with each other (me and my friends) and came to know that most of the old games, older than released in 2011, could be played in highest settings with the highest resolution of HD LED TVs. Needless to say, some of them were working great on Panasonic Smart Viera 3D TV – 45 inch.

• Latest games like Crysis 2, Deus EX Human Revolution, Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed, Fifa 11 (though, released in 2010), were slightly sluggish on highest settings. I am still glad to share that all of these games work fine with medium settings without any lags or stuttering.

• Playing games in 3D still requires more graphical power than provided. Hence, Crysis 2 made them turn the settings down to Gamer and few other games didn’t work that great on 3D TV.

• I could write about the experience as long as I want but I don’t want you to run away from this article. Typing and explaining all those stats would be just a waste of time and space.

• So, without further ado, let me present you the videos because I have heard a lot, “Videos work well than reading!” I really hope that it’s true because I don’t want you to get bored and run away.
