Next Generation Super Phones
By kksonakiya
How often do you wonder about changing technology before actually buying a gadget? How often do you ask yourself, “What is the point of purchasing this when pretty soon something better is going to hit the market”? Well, it has always been a point of research for folks who manufacture these gadgets. They wonder about these questions more than others and come with a simple solution, give customers a gadget with cutting edge technology, so it can withstand the effects of time.

The line written above can lead to a whole new article, but let us not get off topic here. This time, I would like to imagine about our next generation Smartphones. As you probably know that Smartphones equipped with Super-AMOLED display, higher resolution, better camera pixels, disk space, dual core processor, dedicated graphics chip, etc. are being called as super phones. So, what could possibly top a super phone? May be nothing… not till 2015, but till then, our super phones are going to get many hardware upgrades and continue to change the way we look at technology.
It's the begining of a new era!

- In these coming years, we would be looking at a quad core super phone that can do multi-tasking as seamlessly as a desktop or laptop does nowadays.
- We would also be looking at super phones equipped with high quality projector. Also, one of the most ridiculously enhanced technologies would be actually projecting our calls on the screen. It could aid in video conferencing better than before.
- Voice recognition would be upgraded to a level where languages will not be a problem.
- Since, current Smartphones are able to translate in any language after you take a picture of them, our super phones would be able to tell more about the product or dish we are translating.
- A PC, Mac, Linux, etc. emulator would become a common app for these super phones. With a Quad core processor and 2 to 4 GB of RAM (not be mention enormous disk space), we might be able to play many games on our super phones.
- Amazing camera with 3D capture enabled. As a matter of fact we might be seeing some prototypes this year.
- After hooking up our super phone to our HD TVs, we could connect a keyboard and mouse to work with apps like Photoshop or 3D animation. Obviously, I am considering a scenario where these apps could be enhanced for mobile use as well. So, we don’t have to edit a photo on our laptop or desktop when we could do it right on our phone. Since, the small screen could be a problem; we could always get our projector project the screen on a wall and get our work doing when we don’t have a HD TV lying around.
There is a lot more to think and frankly, everyone has a different scenario as to what the world might look after 2015. In any case, technology will always keep changing and by the time 2030 comes, we might be entering in a whole new galaxy!

Interesting forecasts! It is amazing how technology is evolving at the moment. In South Korea, they have already launched a 3d camera phone that actually plays videos and photos in FULL 3D!! Pretty impressive I have to say. That said, when completely new ideas come out, I always wait 6-12 months, as they quickly iron out the glitches and improve them. Like the netbook, which turned into a high powered laptop spec machine in just over 1 year! :-)

Thanks for giving this your comment love Brett. It was feeling pretty lonely.
But I do agree with you. The progress of Netbook showed us that technology can completely turn the world upside down in a matter of minutes.
Btw have you heard that Foxconn is going to hire 1M robots in next 3 years? It has started Brett, I hope that we don't get too carried away by the skills and obedience of a robot.
But this means that due to Foxconn at least 1M job opportunities will go down the drain.
