Mass Effect 3 Release Date

Mass Effect 3 is probably the most anticipated sequel in Mass Effect series and for some gamers; it is the most anticipated sequel in the history of TPS games.

This game is set to release on 6^th March 2012 and I sincerely hope that it releases without any delay.

So here are some of my tidbits on Mass Effect 3. Bear with me as you go through the whole article.

• ME 3 would conclude the story of Commander Shepherd and The Reapers.
• I played Mass Effect 2 (not ME 1) and loved it very much. I wanted to save all the team mates but even when I played this game 5 times, I just couldn’t save everyone of them.
• Mass Effect 2 also had the option to import your character and settings from Mass Effect and the same feature is going to be in Mass Effect 3.
• If you import the character from ME2 in ME 3, you’ll be able to hold all the powers and levels that you acquired in ME 2. That is actually the best part.
• In case you want to play from Level 0 in Mass Effect 3, your character will begin from first level like Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2.
• The story happens on Planet Earth where reapers are trying to do the same that they did in previous game.
• They were abducting humans from different colonies and using them to power their own world, kind of like The Matrix and now, they have targeted Earth. The largest colony of humans.
• Mass Effect 3 also features many new things in combat and cover. New melee attacks are possible and new weapons can be gained.
• Shepherd can now command his teammates to perform suicidal attack, means running in the fire and taking the enemy down.
• The movement of Shepherd has also been improved (moving sideways while sprinting) and now rolling between covers is included. Players don’t need to take cover just to jump up few steps ahead.
• Climbing on leader is also included which points that there are going to be a lot of snipers in Mass Effect 3 and we would be completing some sniping missions as well.
• On graphics part, I think that Mass Effect 2 was amazing, but anti-aliasing wasn’t up to the mark. So, maybe we will see some improved AA in ME 3.
• The sound and music of ME 2 was without a doubt one of best music combinations ever. It suited the environment very well and matched with the thrill of the game.
• Mass Effect 3 also features some co-op missions and I would love to play as a team rather than alone. Do you know what the real benefit is? You can actually trust your human teammate rather than an artificial intelligence.

Apart from all this, I think that creating games for PC takes too much effort and that is why many games (awesome games) don’t make it to PC and those who do, lack one thing or other. This is why many games launch right on time for consoles and later for PC.

Many games need patches to improve the performance of a game. Some infamous titles include, GTA IV, Modern Warfare 3, Batman Arkham City, etc.

Skyrim’s developer also pointed out that developing game for PC is a headache and if they had a choice, then they would want to stick with consoles only. But don’t let all of this worry you. You already know that performance of consoles is limited while a computer can be upgraded as you desire.

The best part of talking about ME 3 is I don’t have to guess anything now. Whatever I told you in this article is a part of the upcoming game.
