If you want a short answer, then yeah, definitely! It was obvious, right? Now close the browser’s window and buy a nice, slim profile (tiny keys) keyboard to help you type faster.
However, if you want an explanation and a little personal live test then read on to find out more.
On my part, I can guarantee you that the comparison is done with complete honesty because I want you to type faster as well and I believe that typing slow is boring (just kidding).

Alright, here we go:
- Few points to type faster:
- To learn touch typing, you need to use all of your fingers including your thumbs.
- Thumbs are obviously just for space bar but you need both of them because when you are typing fast, you would need left thumb while typing right hand side of keys and right thumb while typing left hand side.
- Practice is the main key here but you should not practice with boring letters or work. A good practice can only be done when you do it with interest.
- So, type something that you like and something that you can tolerate for long hours.
- These are just few tips on how to type faster. I actually wrote two part article on the matter and I would like you to proceed if you want to know more tips on how to type faster, alright?
What would a good keyboard bring to you?
- A good keyboard reduces stress in your fingers.
- The keys must be low-profile. When you type faster, your keys may hit other keys often. This may seem obsolete when your speed is low, but as you proceed to 60 words per minute and more, it matters a lot.
- You can practice for long hours without getting tired.
- You actually begin to care about that keyboard and rather than banging on your keys, you press them swiftly but quickly.
Live Tests Test Products: Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 vs. Logitech Wireless MK250
- Logitech K750 is an incredible low-profile keyboard (Chicletstyle). It has slim yet sturdy keys and feels great when you glide your way from one key to another.
- Logitech MK250 used to be a great keyboard for me when my speed was like 30 words per minute.
- It also had low-profile keys, but compared to K750, the keys have twice the height and don’t seem that soft.

Conclusion
I know that many of you may think that I did it intentionally but when you compare a high-profile keyboard with a low-profile keyboard, you’ll know the difference.
Now, I assume that you actually saw those videos. I am sure that you saw that I did many mistakes with MK250 and lesser with K750.
The reason is, after using K750, my fingers felt like they were tangled between bricks when working on MK250 and that’s why I couldn’t press right keys when I tried to type faster.
It is true that you need a good keyboard to maintain and increase your typing speed. I know that I can type faster than 79 words per minute. Actually I got 86 wpm on a Mac wireless Bluetooth keyboard.
So, that is it friends. I hope that you take the information correctly and choose the right keyboard when you are about to purchase one.

Well sort of but why just the I button no other letter needs this extra keystroke, Seems daft to me. I use The I letter a lot in my cad program which uses it as a keyboard short cut for Intersection when drawing a line. It then comes up in red underline when i use it normally in the course of typing. Might be just me picking a fight with the letter I, It has been known before.
Hi there Stugod. Actually, Caps button is to capitalize all of your keystrokes after the button is pressed.
The same effect can be gained by pressing Shift key and pressing desired key.
Difference: Caps Lock key needs to be pressed again to turn off the capitalization.
With Shift key, the capitalization will only occur as long as the key is pressed.
I hope that I answered your query. If not then please explain it a little bit more and I'll get back to you as soon as I can!
As I am big fellow typing was one of the longest and hardest tasks to learn. I ended up growing my finger nails which made the task a lot easier. I can not type to any great effect on a pc but I am pretty rapid on the old laptop. Can any one tell me why you need to press the caps button to get an "I" as this drives me around the twist.
