How to use Roboform Pro 7.5.2 for bookmarking articles quickly?

Bookmarking is an integral part of SEO OFF-Page factors and it can never be enough. It is a part of backlinking process that is an ever learning process of promoting your website and blog. That is why, you would want to make it quick and easy because, let us face it, bookmaking is one of most boring off-page SEO factors that we have to do in order to keep up and beat our competitors.

The idea behind bookmarking with Roboform is not based on bots or crawlers; it is a manual process where you actually have to click the button to submit the information. But it is automatic enough to save your time by 5 times than your regular manual bookmarking.

Installing Roboform and Addthis Toolbar

• Installing Roboform is like installing just another software. Follow on-screen instructions and you will be ready to go.
• While installing the software, create your online account to access your passwords and identities anywhere in the world where you can gain internet connectivity.
• Install Add This Toolbar and select your most used bookmarking sites. In case, you have just started bookmarking then Addthis has more than 100 bookmarking sites at your service.
• After you are done installing softwares, our real chore starts.

Create an Identity in Roboform Pro 7.5.2

• We need to create an identity to fill out bookmarking forms with a single click. Here is the process.
• Open Roboform by double-clicking the taskbar icon that looks like a green robot.
• Click on the little ‘+’ (Plus) sign to add a new identity. When you hover your mouse on the plus sign, you will get a tooltip (create a new identity) to tell you that by clicking on the plus sign you will be able to create a new identity.

• Enter your name and country. We are creating an identity of ourselves to sign-up for bookmarking sites, select ok and you will be able to enter additional information that sites would ask.

• Enter the information by clicking on each option and saving the data by clicking on save on the far right-most corner of the screen where you will see a green save icon.
• You don’t have to enter all information. Just enter the information that is asked often. Like address, email address, your preferred common password for bookmarking sites, etc.

Create an Identity for Bookmarking Sites

• Here I am going to create an identity for one of my articles and show you how you can bookmark it easily via single click.
• Click on Create New Identity Plus sign and enter the name of your article. You don’t have to enter the complete name because it is for your eyes only. Hit Ok and you will see this identity like previous one.
• As you can see in the screenshot above, there is an option named Custom where you can enter custom information with fields and we are going to use it to enter Title, URL, Description and Tags of our article for quick bookmarking.

• Let me explain each field.
  • Field Name: Is the name of script name that is used to tell Roboform Pro what it represents.
  • Field Value: Is the data that we want to feed. In this case, we want to feed the title, url, description and tags of our article.
  • Other match Strings: Is the field where we tell Roboform that “title” field may also be called as “topic” in some websites and it should treat “field value” inside “title” field common to both “title” and “topic”.

Hence, in Other Match Strings you can put synonyms of the script name, for example, tags are known as keywords too and description is also known as summary in some bookmarking websites.

• A good practice is to keep bookmarking your articles and when you see a new script name with a different name, just enter its name in the Other Match Strings field and save the data because it is a onetime thing.
• As you publish new articles, all you need to do is change the Field Value with new data, i.e. new title, url, description and tags.

Example: Bookmarking Article on Digg.com

• I am going to bookmark one of my articles on Digg.com. But first of all, we need to open Digg.com and sign in.

• I have highlighted the areas with RED rectangle to tell you that as soon as Digg.com loads, Roboform detects the URL and shows you that a pass card is available. However, if you are using Roboform for the first time then Roboform will ask you to save the pass card when you log into your Digg account in the old fashioned way. So, from next time, you’ll see this very screen.
• Now, with a click on Digg button (on the toolbar), your credentials will be entered and you will be logged in.

• I am sure that you are familiar with Digg> Submit Link that opens up this Enter Link popup. Now, you don’t have to copy and paste your link. All you need to do is click on the article’s identity, Demo Account in my case, and Roboform Pro will automatically detect URL field in the script and enter the URL of the article.
• Click on Submit and since, that url is just a demo url, Digg will not fetch the description like it does with other URLs. However, I would like show you what happens on next screen.

• Another click on the Demo Account button filled my title and description in the fields on the next screen and it took only few micro-seconds. Now you can quickly choose a topic and click Digg it and your article will be submitted to Digg.
• The process is same for other sites as well. What you need to do is practice with Roboform and your bookmarking will be done within 1 minute and that means on 60+ different sites (some sites take less than 1 minute) in 1 hour which is a lot.
