As you already know (and even if you don’t, I have written it anyway) that there are multiple factors responsible for the calculation of your Hubscore. Hubscore is very essential if you want to use your Hubs to redirect traffic to your blog and share some link benefit as well. You see, if you have a Hubscore of 75 or more, then all of your nofollow tags will be converted to dofollow tags and that will increase the chances of increasing the page ranking of your blog (if you have linked to them), because now Google’s algorithm will think that a popular site (Hubpages is definitely a popular site) is linking to you, so your blog must be of importance. This way, you’ll get better exposure and chances are that you would get better traffic than before.
So, according to Hubpages (as the Help page discloses about Hubscore), Hubscore is based on Amount of traffic, the reputation of hubber, the response of readers to your hub, the uniqueness of content, etc. Along with all these factors, Hubpages also includes that they have the right to include or exclude the factors that are involved in the calculation of Hubscore.
I’ll update this post as the factors change but for now, we’ll focus on the factors which are in our hands right now.
Amount of Traffic
This includes percentage from reputable sources other than Hubpages. You can easily track your traffic if you have included Google Analytics code in your Affiliate options. If you haven’t done, do so right now as it is of an extreme importance.
The traffic on my hubs comes majorly from Search Engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing, and when I analyze it further, Google is on top. So, I can safely assume that my Hubs are being listed in Google successfully and a major part of my traffic is organic. However, there are other sources too, that you can use to funnel your traffic to your hubs and increase your amount of traffic as well as justify the first criteria. This will not only help your hubs get better exposure but also your profile will get better position.
Due to a successful profile image (I am not talking about picture), people will approach your hubs with more confidence than to some unknown person who is silent on the web. You should use forums, bookmarking sites, YouTube, etc. to promote your hubs and gain better traffic opportunities. This is not as boring as it sounds. Once you start posting some videos on YouTube and see some views rolling in, you become more confident and everything feels like fun rather than boring.
For forums and bookmarking sites, I suggest that you take your best hubs (and I mean it) and promote them. Start a new thread if you’ve introduced a cool thing to the web with some research of your own or contribute a useful answer to a friend and link it to your hub (remember, abide by the rules of the forum. If they don’t allow links in signature then don’t do so. We don’t want to promote ourselves in every corner. Contributing a helpful answer will help you generate a trust in your readers and they will pay attention to what you have to say in your future posts.
Same goes for Bookmarking sites. If you promote your not-so-great content then chances are that you will be banned from submitted more content to their sites. The thing is, they also want to share quality contents and that’s why they have better page ranks than many great blogs out there. The theory of trust work here as well. If you create a quality hub and then promote it, then people will automatically share it, thumb it up, tag it higher, or whatever there is to make them say ‘this post is great’, they’ll do it.
The Reputation of the Hubber
Hubber Score can be obtained by contributing to Hubpages itself. You can participate in Hubbing frog and jump from one hub to another with few clicks and comment and rate them and like that. This way, you’d be helping Hubpages to optimize their content database and also you’d be helping your fellow hubbers by giving them a morale boost so that they can keep on Hubbing.
There is not much to say here. You can contribute to community by participating in Hubpages forums. Solving some easy problems (that are huge for whom they are troubling) and showing that you do understand your status and responsibility as a hubber. You are now part of a business, in which, you are the customer, seller, manager, customer care and everything that you can think of, but obviously, in a different way.
The Response of readers to your hub
You don’t have to worry about this one. If you write nice and solid hubs then there is no way that people can resist their urge to thumb you up or post an insightful or thankful comment. Also, if you do follow the words that I stated above then you’re already a well known entity in the wide world of Hubpages. You have a position and your hubs are great. So don’t get yourself tangled for this one. Your readers will take care of this for you. All you need to do is, post great content that can make people to link to you.
The Uniqueness of content
This is of utter importance again (like amount of traffic). You should not (and never) copy content from the web and just rewrite it and post it. If you copy others contents or buy PLR articles, then you’ll never to able to accomplish for what you’ve joined Hubpages for. Be it anything, making money, promoting your content, getting back-links for your website or blog.
Things Don’t End Here
That is right; Hubscore is a thing that you can’t control totally. But you can definitely manage to stay well above 75 to earn that priceless link benefit or what other Internet Entrepreneurs call as Link Juice. Work hard and you’ll be able to reach the top and stay on it as well. Also, don’t think that you will have to do hard work every day, you can optimize your content every week or every month and still stay above 75. The best thing is learning by yourself. So do it and learn on the way. That’s how many Internet Entrepreneurs have learned and now teaching others the same thing.

Thanks for posting this. As a new Hubber, this was one of the things that I was trying to figure out. Now I just need to keep writing and contributing to HubPages to get my hubscore above 75.
Do you think all the work you have to do at Hubpages is worth to have the link juice (do follow link?)
It sounds like I'm going to have to build up direct traffic to my new hub. Thanks so much for creating this article. I was in the dark about how to increase hubscore.
Thank you for GREAT tips. I want to ask you? Should we do add our hub url to SE like google, yahoo, and bing? I think it will automatically indexing by these SE because root domain (hubpages.com) was index before.
Hey that pretty much covered every question in my mind. Thanks a lot for this hub kksonakiya! :)

A great Hi, and a big THANKS to you.
You helped me a lot by this hub, because I am a newbie here and I was surprised to see others hubbers who have scored over 90 and mine is presently just 30.
I now get to know what hubscore is and how to increase.
Thanks for this full help.
As I'm new to Hubpage so it actually helped me how to work here and what I need to make my profile more powerful....
Thanks again :)
I am new to this Hub thing so this was very helpful information.
Great post!!! Thanks for sharing with us! Voted up.
This is very useful. I find that the more active I am in Hubs alone makes a huge difference in your score. I am very active but yet don't have that many hubs published, only 21. Yet I have seen my score jump up to 91 in only one month. I do log on here everyday and hub hop, post comments, answer questions, and reply in forums. I think activity makes a huge difference. Voted up!
