How would you make your Inbox Clutter Free?
I am sure that all of us like a well maintained and clutter free mail box that is easy to go through even when we are in a hurry. With the increasing spam mails and techniques, it is up to us to maintain our mail box and not rely on Google mail’s spam filter because many times, it lets emails go right into our inbox and we get loads of junk mails sitting right next to our important ones.
I know that we have several options like creating labels and moving important mails to their respective labels but wouldn’t it be nice to clean out the junk with a single sweep. After setting up labels and moving our important mails, we still have to deal with a lot of spam mails in our inbox.
If you select mails one by one, it is very tedious and not efficient at all. If you select mails by selecting the little check sign in the upper and lower left corner, it selects every mail on the screen and don’t be too happy because it does what it says.
Deleting Several Mails from Gmail!
It only selects mails that are currently on your screen. Suppose you have 1000 mails that you know are junk. What do you do then? Do you delete those 50 mails at a time? This would take you forever to get to the last one. However, there is just a little more trick done by Google to Select all of your mails with a single click that is left unattended by most people. Please follow through the procedure:
- When you tick on the extreme left corner, you will see that a blue line appears above the dashboard of inbox.
- It tells you to Select all (number) conversations in Inbox.
- This is not even a trick but this little message appears only after you tick that check box and this is why when folks try to figure out a way to delete all mails without checking the box, they don’t get it because it is not even there.
- After you select the link to Select all (number) conversations in Inbox. All of your mails in inbox will be selected and the message will show you that All (number) conversations in Inbox are selected. Clear selection.
- If you have accidently selected all mails then you can clear your selection byselecting Clear Selection link.
- However, we want to delete all mails so we will proceed with our selection and click on Delete button to delete all mails.
- Don’t worry if you did it by accident because Gmail will give you one chance to undo what has been done. Before you do anything else, you can undo the job, otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to do that later and all of your mails will be moved to trash the moment you hit Delete.
That is it friends. I hope the process was simple and easy to understand. Since, it was not a trick, I did not attach any pictures of it but rest assured that when I come up with some trick to get your way around the Internet World, I will post articles with lots of picture in them.
