I am glad to tell you that I have now finished playing Assassins Creed 2 Brotherhood on my Dell Inspiron 15r laptop and would like to tell you that the experience was quite great. I know that I have been pretty late but I was too busy to engage myself in games. But I am sure you want to learn about Assassins Creed 2 Brotherhood’s performance on ATI Mobility 5470 (1GB version), so here it goes.

  • The game looks amazing with retouched graphics in Assassins Creed 2 Brotherhood.
  • Unfortunately you cannot crank up the settings to highest; I keep my settings to minimum because it does not interfere at any point when I am playing.
  • Fortunately you will not feel bad on minimum settings because as I said, graphics still look amazing. However, if you have a great HDTV, then you might want to set your settings to at least medium for a nice feeling.
  • The RAM usage is quite good and can get as high as 1.5 GB, so you may not want to run two games at a time or some video transcoding in the background otherwise it will slow the game down and in some cases, crash it (if you have greater than 4GB RAM then you need not to worry).
  • As for Core i3 (up to Core i7) in this system, the usage was in control and I had no problem because of it, but I am sure that it could have done a better job with a better graphics card. For example: my desktop has Core i3 in it with Nvidia 9800 GTX+ 1GB and Assassins Creed 2 looks fantastic on it even at medium settings.
  • Needless to say, I could crank up the settings to highest with my desktop and when I connected it with my 32-inch HD LED TV, the game completely blew me away after Crysis 2.
  • But let us not get off topic here. As far as hotness of laptop is considered, the laptop becomes very hot when you play for a couple of hours without any breaks and if you are keeping it on your lap, then you might want to take a couple minutes off.
  • However, it is still better than playing Crysis 2 on lap, because after a lot of heating, the system just crashes on me. With Assassins Creed 2 Brotherhood, I had no such problems, indicating that Assassins Creed 2 is more stable than Crysis 2 on high temperatures.
  • Gameplay is very much the same, yet improved than Assassins Creed 2 and now we can kill big guards who were like invincible with their heavy weapons. Now we can kick them to lose their defense and then attack normally.
  • You may not be able to play smoothly with the touchpad (obviously) and you should get a Bluetooth mouse for this. Buying it won’t be a waste, as it will protect your touchpad from losing its color.

Yep I do Rajan1311 and i love 'em. I have tried Grid and loved it. Also, NFS Shift and got quite the hang of it by the end and aced the game after that.

Right now, I am going to get myself NFS Shift Unleashed and see if I am getting better with racing games or not. :)

Glad to hear from you btw.

oh did not know you game too...nice...

Tried any racing simulators? Try stuff like GRID, they don't require high end hardware and are real great fun to play.. :)

I m afraid but you will have to tell me the graphics card. Based on minimum requirements, unfortunately, you will not enjoy playing this game on Inspiron 1545. If I am correct, then this laptop is closed by Dell and you might have either Intel X3100 or Intel X4500 graphics card, which is not sufficient for these games.

Wonder if I could play this on my inspirion 1545, dual core 2.10ghz, with 3gb ram. I tried witcher 2 and lagged a bunch during cutscenes.
